Veluza Scarlet and Violet are two new fish Pokémon. It is a strange looking Pokémon with large eyes and the ability to move different parts of its body. While swimming in the Paldea area, you will encounter them many times, and if these fish see you, they will come to you. It’s hard to avoid Veluzar in the wild, which means you may have to fight these Pokémon multiple times if you want to spawn anywhere in Scarlet and Violet. Although these Pokémon may seem intimidating, But defeating them is not a big deal.

Who is weak in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Veluza ?

Veluza is a Pokémon that can be found across Lake Casseroya and the western Paldean Sea. If Veluza sees you in the water, he will attack you like a jet. You can run away from them, but because of the size of their Pokémon, it’s hard for them to spot you underwater.

Veluza is a Psychic and Water-type Pokémon, and the worst thing about dealing with it is that wild Veluza often uses Water Pulse, which can confuse your Pokémon. Confusion is a status effect that puts the Pokémon in a confused state. Pokémon with the Own Tempo ability are immune to illusions. However, only a select few Pokémon have that ability. Veluza also uses Fillet, a move that halves his HP but boosts his attack, special attack, and speed stats by two steps.

Valeza’s on-base statistics are only 478, which is not very high. Veleza excels at high attack stats, so be careful with physical moves like Psycho Cut and Aqua Cutter. You should send a Pokémon with a high Defense stat to counter Veleza’s physical attacks. Veleza is vulnerable to Bug, Dark, Electric, Ghost, and Grass types, and resistant to Fighting, Fire, Ice, Psychic, Steel, and Water types. Veleza’s physical defense and special defense stats are pretty similar, meaning you can attack Veleza physically or with special moves. The best moves to use against Veleza are Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, and Night Slash.

Best Counter for Veluza in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

While the water type in Veluza is what you’d expect from this species, it also has dual psychic typing, and many players won’t expect it when they first encounter it in battle. However, this dual type can be quite intimidating when you realize that the fight won’t be as straightforward as you initially thought. Still, despite the many weaknesses between species, this gives you a very wide window to focus on finishing it off with something. The Pokémon may already be in your party. Considering that common goblin species like the Greavard and Brambleghast have existed for a long time, you should have a powerful party to face any Veluza.
