Major content updates and bug fixes are coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 in the form of a new patch, which will see developer Larian Studios add elegant features and fix glitches that have been reported. While Boulder’s Gate 3 is quite playable in its own retail form, the game still has a number of problems that need solving.
Baldur’s Gate 3 players have reported numerous bugs with the game on social media, ranging from minor graphical issues to more significant issues such as the game not starting. Usually, the developers get a lot of criticism online for these glitches, especially for games that have been in Early Access for years, but Baldur’s Gate 3 is a huge game, and it’s regularly benefiting from hotfixes. So fans have forgiven its shortcomings.
The Next Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch Is On The Way
A new Baldur’s Gate 3 patch is in the works. Swen vincke, head of Larian Studios, announced on Twitter that the team is working on a hotfix and at least two patches. The content is based on feedback received by all fans, as well as reports that have been sent in of Baldur’s Gate 3’s woes of bugs and crashes since its launch.
We are all very happy with your response. This is very encouraging. Our focus is now on fixing any problems you report, but we’re also listening to suggestions. Current roadmap: a) Hotfix 4, b) Patch 1 (+1000 fixes and improvements), c) Patch 2. Lastly, some requests from earlier will be included in Patch 2.

The next update is Hotfix 4, which should be coming soon, and will be followed by the first major patch for Baldur’s Gate 3. Over 1000 fixes are planned to be implemented in the game in this patch. It’s hard to say what will change in this update, as there are so many critical and minor issues in Baldur’s Gate 3 that anything could really count.
After the first critical patch, a second patch will add requests for compliments to the game. It’s even more vague, as fans have asked for various things, ranging from die preview options in Balder’s Gate 3 to improving humans. It is unclear how much change these modifications will bring to the game, as the more new features are introduced, the more bugs they will generate.
The reception for Baldur’s Gate 3 has been very positive. Appreciating devotees have sidelined many of the problems because the game is so much fun to play and it’s a story that greenlights around player decisions. As the console’s launch nears, PlayStation 5 users will hopefully get a stable version of the game at launch, as Larian will have a chance to fix problems found by PC viewers.
