The latest trailer for Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 4 has been released. It was unveiled via the Attack on Titan Twitter page and Pony Canyon’s official YouTube account. The anime is scheduled to premiere in late 2023 as part of the Fall anime season, and it will eventually conclude the story of the Attack on Titan series.
The trailer was actually premiered at the MAPPA x Crunchyroll panel at Anime Expo last Sunday, presented to Western audiences for the first time. The title of the anime differs slightly from the direct Japanese translation used by Crunchyroll, Attack on Titan Final Season: The Final Chapter Special 2. Both titles are being used in the English-speaking world, so it is good to recognize both and not be confused that they refer to different parts of the story.
Attack on Titan originally aired in 2013 and has since spawned four anime seasons and four movies. The fourth season is currently being released gradually from 2020. The original series, Attack on Titan The Final Season ran for 16 episodes. A second part of the final season is scheduled for release in January 2022, which will take approximately two years to complete and include an additional 12 episodes, titled The Final Season Part 2. Then, on March 3, 2023, The Final Season Part 3 was released as a one-hour special. It was released more than a year later, in 2023.
For fans eagerly awaiting the next and truly final installment of the Attack on Titan series, they won’t have to wait another year. After only two seasons after the first part, it will be aired this fall. The story of the final season picks up four years after the main characters learn shocking truths about the world they live in, and a new role is presented for the characters of the warrior unit. As the warriors of the Survey Corps engage in battle with the Marleyan army, the protagonist, Eren Yeager, fights to free his homeland.
The Attack on Titan manga ends in 2021, so readers of the manga already know how the story will end. However, everyone who has only been watching anime for the last ten years knows the ultimate fate of the story. In recent years, Attack on Titan has taken many twists and turns, leading to shocking revelations that no one could have predicted, and it’s hard to imagine what the ending will be like for those who haven’t read the manga.
Despite being a decade old, Attack on Titan hasn’t lost its popularity. The fact that the trailer was unveiled at a convention in the United States demonstrated its global presence and highlighted that the market outside Japan is just as strong as it is domestically. The trailer has garnered over 2 million views within a day of going live on YouTube. Not many other anime series have such a legacy, and the pressure is immense for an explosive performance in the final season, Part 4.
